While your child is growing and developing, their teeth can become very prone to develop cavities if not properly cared for. This thin “film” or layer can be applied to the chewing surfaces of teeth, especially the rear teeth, to help prevent decay. It acts as a barrier to food particles finding their way into the grooves of their teeth.
